Our miracle is here!

Bob and Megan are thrilled to announce the birth of our son
Tobias (Toby) Jai Banach Sainsbury
at 10.08am, Tuesday 29th June, 2010
Phoenix Hospital, New Delhi, India.
Born on Grandpa Peter's birthday.
Jai is the Hindi word for victory.

Toby was born via c-section (the induction meds did nothing overnight) weighing 3.05 kilos. He is perfect in every way and a screamer. Mummy saw the whole birth through a window. It was amazing. She is speaking jibberish and walking on a cloud her feet not touching ground. We've been booted out of the hospital while they clean Toby up and do the necessary. He is breathing beautifully and is trying to get the plastic hood off his head. His skin is very light and he has light brown hair. He looks like dad and Willo.

We will upload the dreadful video daddy took of his first moments, which is all over the place as daddy was on the phone to grandma and videoing while trying to look at his son.

There are so many people to thank, but for now, we are so grateful to Rani, who is doing well, to everyone at Surrogacy Centre India and to the government of India for allowing us to become parents.

Congratulations to you both and a very big thank you for documenting it all the way. I can even begin the amount of crap you have had to put up with. Just know your blog has been very, very much appreciated. It will make it much easier for people like my husband and I to give it a try.

I woke up, put on the coffee, boiled water to heat the milk for the girls, turned on the news and then fired up the laptop to see if you were a Mummy yet.

Can't wait for more picts and welcome Tobias. More Aussie playmates for the girls! And I second NWGirl...I need a drink. Or at least my first cup of coffee.
