I have finally had some sleep after only getting 4 hours in the last 48 hours. Toby was very good on the plane. We had basinette seat rows on both legs and a spare seat for Toby from Perth to Singapore. This is his last flight as a non-paying customer as he turns two next Friday.
We made it via taxi/train/bus to Singapore Zoo and wandered around like a pair of Zombies ... Toby is SO heavy! Bob wouldn't fork out $9 for a stroller so he got to carry him on his shoulders. Poor little Toby is a bit scared of animals, the monkeys weren't the only ones shrieking.
We stayed at Tulip House for a night then moved to Apartment 18 due to a plague of cockroaches running around the first apartment. Yuck. Apartment 18 is magnificent, and HUGE, but pricey (more than double Tulip House). The credit card is taking an absolute flogging.
We are going to see baby's scan today, exciting! I will video it. Baby is being born Monday, 25th June, 2012. Dr Shivani actually had the C-section booked for today but being delayed and moving around, we need Toby to be a little more settled before we introduce him to "sissy".
We're as ready as we're ever going to be. I bought newborn nappies, I am sure Toby was never that small. I have Toby's neutral colored onesies ready to go, surely Toby never wore those? It feels really strange having itty bitty clothes and bottles, formula, bottle steriliser and all the things needed for a newborn. I suspect I have been in this very place before, in fact two years ago,. Enjoy Meg, this is the last one!
Toby has had so much change lately, he has been wonderful. First he had to see Uncle Tim take his LuLu in a big cat cage; then his cat Max and dog Amber went in the car and didn't come back. His bedroom has changed and all the things in the nursery that were his are now sissy's. He would go into the nursery and say, "Mine" ... he has chosen to call this baby sissy. He gets there will be a new baby, but doesn't quite understand baby could be sissy or brother, because as he tells us, "Brother Will".
Sissy, whether a girl or a boy, will be very loved and welcomed into our little family.
